About Noah
Noah has been a certified Rolfer® and Rolf Movement® practitioner since 2013. He began his studies at the Rolf Institute® in Boulder, Colorado, and completed his certification through the Brazilian Rolf Institute operating in Bali, which uses an integrated method to incorporate Rolf Movement within structural Rolfing®. Noah also completed an additional workshop in 2014 focusing on the anatomy, function and healing of the head and neck.
Noah taught Iyengar-influenced yoga for nine years at Fort Lewis College and other venues. His training in yoga has supported and complemented his Rolfing training, enabling him to utilize the concepts of alignment in gravity and holistic health in a new discipline. He has traveled to India five times to study Iyengar yoga, and was able to assist medical yoga classes at the Iyengar Yoga Institute. In 2010, Noah underwent a hip surgery for a debilitating torn labrum. Through Rolfing, Noah was able to avoid additional surgeries and continues to lead an active, pain-free life.
Before yoga, Noah was an avid climber and worked as an instructor and course director for Colorado Outward Bound. For seven years, he led students climbing, mountaineering, canyoneering, and backcountry snowboarding.
Noah has over twenty years experience teaching and working with people in the physical realm. Rolf Durango is the culmination of his skill and knowledge through which he can incorporate teaching, physical awareness, communication and the concept of interconnectedness to help people.
Originally from California, Noah has called Durango home since 1992.
